Rangefinder Adventures

Statue of a cow

I finally pulled the trigger and got a rangefinder camera. To its different is an understatement, and I am going to need to work with it a good bit before I feel 100% comfortable.

The picture above is one I grabbed when Jordan and I had to take something to a local landfill here. There was a field that had this statue of a cow, and having my camera with me, I needed to grab it.

I have really enjoyed getting back into film lately. There is something about the deliberate nature of it, and not getting immediate feedback that I feel like I sorely need. It makes me slow down and be intentional. Couple that with developing the film myself and well — its been therapeutic.

This is one from the archives – taken back in 2016 (April to be exact). This is one of favorites in that I was kind of proud of myself for seeing the picture as I was walking and setup the tripod to get it right.

This is one from the archives… I was at Oak Mountain State Park early on a Saturday and captured this one. And yes, this is the actual light that morning. I didn’t do much post-processing ( I almost never alter the color that much anyway…)
